Can't believe it's Christmas Eve. Karena 'the season' tidak terasa sama sekali. Untuk pertama kalinya selama gw tinggal di Jogja (juga pertama kalinya dalam hidup gw), i'm not at home at Christmas karena somehow gw dan adik gw sama-sama sial, harus ujian di minggu terakhir tahun 2005. Dan di Christmas Eve ini dengan garingnya kami cuma ngendon berdua di rumah.
We didn't even attend the Candle Light Service at church yesterday hehe.
No Christmas tree.
No presents underneath the Christmas tree [jelas, pohon-nya juga gak ada]
No Mom's cooking. Gw cuma masak sup makaroni instan ama sosis karena ogah repot.
No Mom's hug and kiss (dan kado tentunya) at Christmas morning.
No Granny, uncas-aunts, cousins dan nieces-nephews.
Only few cards traded.... Karena today, civilized people lebih suka menggunakan sms.
No Christmas songs, karena secara ajaib mp3 lagu2 Natal gw raib tak diketahui rimbanya, leaving me only kaset Snowed In-nya Hanson, yang entah kenapa gw juga males muternya....
None of my guys is available...Yang anak kos pada mudik, yang asli Jogja pada sibuk sendiri.. Sucks...
Well, it's alright. It's just Christmas anyway. Life's going on and I'm grateful to know that I'm much luckier than those who are houseless, orphans, atau those at the refugees. At least i stay warm, safe and sound di depan komputer, with MTV playing John Legend, a glass of iced-orange juice dan adik yang lagi ngorok di kamarnya [dan kalo gw sebel bisa gw gebukin kapan aja]. Yang jelas, it's good to know that i'm still alive di Natal ke 23 dalam hidup gw, dan i have plenty reasons to continue living...
So everyone, hang a shining star upon the highest bow, and have yourself a merry little christmas now...
